ABOUT ME

My name is Chelsey McCracken and I'm a graduate of The Art Institute of York--Pennsylvania, where I earned the Associate's degree in Graphic Design. Leading up to The Art Institute, I took a Commercial Art program at Lancaster County Career & Technology Center for my senior year of high school, where I earned a Certificate in the Commercial Arts program.

Since I have been a kid, I've always had the fascination with art or coloring in general. Of course, what kid doesn't love to color? Some of them though, grow into that and begin to do their own twists with art. I found myself wanting to create short stories, written out on paper and glued onto colored construction paper. Pictures were drawn by me and added to the story. Once my book was complete, it would be hole-punched and bound with a loop of yarn.

Growing up and becoming into my years of middle school, I realized that creating art on the computer was way better than coloring that book. As I grew and learned, I realized that this is something I wanted to do with my life. Taking the Commercial Arts program was the best decision I've made in high school, and there is where I was taught and prepared for the first year of my college experience.

During the two years of college and the extra five years experience in Graphic Design, I have gained more knowledge in advertising and marketing, booklets, logos, brochures, thumbnail sketches, package designs, and even photography.
